Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday criticised the Central government over the arrest of people in Delhi for putting up posters saying ”Modi Ji humare bacho ki vaccine videsh kyu bhej di? (PM why did you send vaccines of our children to foreign countries?).

Gandhi on Sunday tweeted a poster that reads ”Modi Ji humare bacho ki vaccine videsh kyu bhej di?’’ ? (PM why did you send vaccines of our children to foreign countries?) asking PM Modi to arrest him as he tweeted a picture that criticise the PM’s vaccine policy.

Congress leader Pawan Khera said people have expectations from the Central government which has already broken, whom the people will question when people in power want all the credit?. Khera said why should people not ask questions about why their Covid vaccines have been exported.

The controversy has begun when Delhi Police on Thursday  registered at least 25 FIR  in connection with posters that surfaced across the Delhi that reads “Modiji humare bachon ki vaccine videsh kyu bhej diya (Modiji, why did you send vaccines for our children to foreign countries?)”, asking questioning from PM Modi about the vaccination policy. Police said they have arrested almost 25 people in the matter.

India is one of the worst-hit countries by coronavirus globally, the country’s covid situation remains grim as the nation is facing a shortage of oxygen, medical aids and a mass shortage of covid vaccines.

According to the reports, India has supplied close to 60 million coronavirus disease (Covid-19) vaccine doses to other countries so far to help them fight against Covid-19.

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday said, over 17 lakh people were vaccinated against Covid-19. As per the day, 17,33,232 people have received the covid vaccine jab on Saturday. 11,30,928 people have received their first dose of the covid vaccine while 6,02,304 received their second dose.
