A school in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district is grabbing headlines for asking students to make a bridge from chairs to help the teacher reach the premises. A video of the same is going viral on social media.

The incident happened in a primary school in Baldev Gram Panchayat Dagheta in the Baldeo area of Mathura, where students lined up chairs to help the teacher reach the other end because of the waterlogging in the verandah of the school. In the video, it can be seen that the teacher is climbing the chairs, and students are helping her cross the waterlogged area.

As soon as the video went viral, people started slamming the teacher for exploiting the students and forcing them to stand in the ankle-deep water as she crossed the chair bridge.

According to the reports, there are 7 teachers in the school, including 4 female teachers and 3 male teachers. Out of them, only Pallavi asked the students to build a chair bridge from the gate to the verandah of the school. Pallavi has been working in the school for the last one and a half years.

However, Sujata Singh, the head of the government school, defended the assistant teacher by saying that the bridge was made by school students because the teacher has a skin allergy and couldn’t walk in the contaminated water.
