There has been a little reprieve from chills in parts of North India, including the capital Delhi. The cold remains due to the cold wave. Simultaneously, severe fog is intensifying the problem in the morning. The cold wave will persist across Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and western Uttar Pradesh over the next several days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), with clear weather in the plains. In the meanwhile, severe fog is expected to persist in the morning and evening.

Today’s lowest temperature in Delhi is expected to be 8 degrees Celsius, with a maximum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius, according to IMD. The minimum temperature in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh’s capital, is expected to be 10 degrees Celsius today, February 6th. Temperatures as high as 25 degrees Celsius are possible. In Chandigarh, the minimum mercury level may also rise. The minimum temperature today might be 5 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature could be 18 degrees Celsius.

Over Northeast India and Sikkim, mild to moderate rain and thundershowers are quite likely to occur over the next 24 hours. Arunachal Pradesh will also likely have mild to moderate rain and snow. Light to moderate rain and snow may fall in isolated portions of Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttarakhand today, especially in steep regions. Minimum temperatures in Northwest India, Central India, and areas of East India are expected to decrease even further.

A new Western Disturbance is persisting in the Western Himalayas, according to IMD. Rain and snow may occur in mountainous locations as a result of this. West Bengal and the surrounding region are experiencing a cyclonic circulation. As a result, there’s a chance of scattered rain in Northeast India today.

Jammu’s minimum temperature is expected to be 9 degrees Celsius, with a maximum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department. Aside from that, Leh’s minimum temperature is forecast to be minus 14 degrees Celsius, with a maximum temperature of minus 2 degrees Celsius. The sky will be cloudy.

Uttarakhand is unlikely to experience rain today. Snowfall, on the other hand, is expected to persist in mountainous locations. Dehradun’s minimum temperature may reach 8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature can reach 20 degrees Celsius. Simultaneously, it has been snowing in Himachal Pradesh for many days. Even today, there is a chance of snowfall. Shimla’s minimum temperature can reach 5 degrees Celsius and its maximum temperature can reach 15 degrees Celsius.
