Diwali, the celebration of lights and sweets, is right around the corner, and India is decorated beautifully. Diwali is one of Hinduism’s most important celebrations, commemorating Lord Ram’s victory over Ravan. After 14 years in exile, Lord Ram, Sita, and Laxman, along with Hanuman, returned to Ayodhya on this day.

People also burst crackers in Diwali, however, given the climate change state governments have put a ban on crackers.

The Supreme Court on Friday asked states and Union Territories to strictly comply with its order regarding bursting of firecrackers even as it clarified that the ban was on firecrackers other than green ones and those with reduced emission
