In Uttarakhand, the reports are coming that the security wall of the highway leading to the Yamunotri temple collapsed. It is reported that due to this, 10,000 people are stuck and the traffic has also been stopped on the roads.

According to reports, around 10,000 people are stuck there at different places along the highway. The sources of India Today are saying that it will take around 3-days to open the road. Currently, the district administration is trying to evacuate the passengers from some smaller vehicles, but it is being reported that the ones who came in the big vehicles are unable to leave.

It is reported that around a 12-meter-long patch of the highway was affected after a safety wall collapsed on Wednesday evening following heavy rains.

The power supply and Jankichastti also got interrupted on Friday night due to the thunderstorm.

Meanwhile, more than 48 people died on the Char Dham yatra route since the annual pilgrimage to the Himalayan shrines began on May 3. It is reported that out of 48, 46 people died after suffering heart attacks at the high-altitude shrines.

The state government also updated the government data and they mentioned that 16 pilgrims have died at the Yamunotri this season, nine on the trek route, two near the temple and five on the road route.

In other news, the All India Backward And Minority Communities Employees Federation has called for a Bharat Bandh on May 25. DP Singh, acting state president of the Bahujan Mukti Party, called upon the people to make Bharat Bandh a success.
