Recently, Karan Apte, a delivery agent at Zomato, celebrated his 30th birthday by doing two things. He started his special day by buying a new shirt for himself. In addition, he gave chocolates to every customer to whom he delivered food. Isn’t this just an amazing idea to celebrate your special day?

On Facebook, Apte posted this update with his friends, and since then, it has gone insanely viral. People praised his incredibly kind deed and shared his post. When we celebrate our birthdays, we typically receive gifts from family and friends. However, this man chose to mark his big day by giving out chocolates to complete strangers.

Sharing the post he said that he bought a new shirt on his birthday and distributed chocolates with every order he delivered in Zomato. He shared two pictures along with the post.

Taking to social media users complimented his thoughtful action and also urged Zomato to celebrate his birthday.

One user thanked him for the chocolate while another called him king. Many users also wished for his good health and life in the comment section. However, some sections of users also tagged Zomato and said now it’s your turn to do something for him.

Later after this post went viral, Zomato’s team reached out to Karan Apte and took him for lunch. Seeing this Apte was emotional and thanked everyone for tagging Zomato. He also thanked his team leader Nilesh for making the arrangements for him.

Not only this Cadbury Dairy Milk also reached out to him and sent him a hamper of multiple chocolates.

Meanwhile, in the beginning of this year, a video went viral in which it was seen that a  group of friends made the decision to make the New Year memorable not just for themselves but also for the delivery person who arrived to leave the delivery at midnight. Online fans were moved by the sweet video because they admired how customers delivered happiness to the Zomato delivery man.

In the video, a group of friends welcomed the delivery partner and gave him a wooden knife so he could cut the cake and celebrate the New Year with them. The delivery man was so touched by their kindness that he moved forward to cut the cake with his customers while flashing a million-dollar smile. The cake was later given to them, and he wished everyone a Happy New Year. He did certainly have a special New Year.

In a shameful incident, a Zomato delivery man was arrested in Pune, Maharashtra after he forcibly kissed a girl customer.

Reports say the delivery man has been identified as 42-year-old Raees Shaikh who kissed a 19-year-old girl customer in the Yewaliewadi area of Pune after delivering her food. The teenager filed a police complaint and said the accused molested her when she offered him water after he asked for it. The incident took place at 9:30 pm on September 17.

The girl, in her police complaint, also explained her ordeal and said as soon as she brought water, the accused started asking her about her family members. When she told him she stays with her two friends and is currently home alone, the delivery man asked her for another glass of water.

When she turned back to get another glass of water, the delivery man forcibly kissed her twice on the cheek. Following this, the delivery man left her place immediately saying he is like her uncle and if she ever needs help, she can call him, the reports said.

The girl also informed that the delivery man started sending messages on her WhatsApp after leaving her place.

Reports further said the girl goes to a college in Kondhwa and is pursuing engineering. She filed a complaint at the Kondhwa police station following which the delivery man was arrested.

However, he was later released on bail.

A new video has taken over the internet where the dog owner from Ghaziabad could be seen defending his dog biting delivery guy’s private parts. The video was shared by a regional journalist straight from the Police Station where one of the owners was arrested incase of irresponsibility.

But what came to be the most shocking part of the video was the owner claiming his dog did nothing wrong as dogs have a habit of plunging on others. He further said that he doesn’t care about his brother being arrested as he’ll soon be free but he wants his nephew to reach home safe.

When the dog owner was asked about why wasn’t he active enough to stop the dog, he said that dogs have an tendency to attack unknown people in their territory and his dog is no different. He further questioned the journalist that even if you enter with your camera and mike to anyone’s home, then he or she might even slap you, so why the dog is being blamed.

The dog owner further revealed that his dog his very vegetarian and is puts up a tika and walks with him on the road. The man said that he’s names the dog as Rani Pandey and said, “hum Pandey hain to humara kutta bhi Pandey hi hoga na.”

Days after a video of a pet dog biting a kid inside a lift went viral, another such video caught the internet’s attention. In the horrifying video, a German Shepherd dog bit a Zomato delivery guy in his private parts and which left him bloodied.

The viral video was shared by a Twitter user and is said to be from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. In the video, the Zomato delivery guy could be seen waiting to get out of the lift. As the door opens, the dog lunges at the delivery guy and bites him in his private parts.

The video then shows the injured delivery guy drenched in blood and crying for help.

This is not the first time when such an incident came to light. On Monday, a similar incident took place in Ghaziabad wherein an 8-year-old boy was bitten by a pet dog in a lift. Reports say the incident took place at the Charms Castle apartment in Raj Nagar Extension.

After the video went viral, an FIR was filed against the owner of the dog under Section 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animal) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Nandigram police station.

In the complaint, the kid’s mother informed that her son was returning home from his tuition at 6 pm when the incident took place.

In another incident, a Pitbull pet dog bit off the face of an 11-year-old boy in Ghaziabad. Reports say the boy sustained severe injuries and got more than 150 stitches on his face. Reports further said the incident happened when the boy was playing in the park outside his house.

The residents of the society protested against the incident as the owner had no license or registration of the dog. The owner was fined Rs 5,000.

The online food delivery platform has been hitting the headlines lately through its delivery agents. Recently, again, a viral video came in limelight and doing the rounds on the social media platform where a specially-abled in his motor wheelchair was seen dispatching the food orders.

The video has been shared on Instagram by users along with a caption that reads nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’m possible. The viral video shows a physically challenged Zomato food delivery agent that was seen having a big Zomato food container on his back and was making his way to deliver food orders to the customers.

The video has been posted a week ago on the photo-sharing application Instagram and gained more than 9.9 lakh views, more than 1.3 lakh likes with thousands of comments.

Several people applauded the man’s hard work and his motivation for his job. While appreciating his efforts, an user wrote that this type of person, who has some goals in life motivates thousands of people. Another user tagged Zomato and asked them to increase the pay scale and provide extra perks to such specially challenged delivery guys. While many users expressed their feeling by using the folded hands emoticons on Instagram.

This is not the first time such a video grabbed eyeballs of social media users. Earlier, a video went viral on the internet where a Zomato delivery guy in Mumbai skipped his usual rides and takes the horse to deliver food orders during the heavy rain. Later, the agent received a lot of applause from the people as well as from the Zomato also for his loyalty towards his work.
