Both were grievously injured. Kumar was on his motorcycle and his sister was riding pillion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Singh and other senior officials were returning after assessing the preparations for polling in the region. Kumar and his sister were left unattended, bleeding, while the government officials took off, leaving the vehicle behind, but taking the errant driver with them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">This insensitive and irresponsible behaviour of high ranking administration officials has come into focus amid the ongoing elections in Uttar Pradesh. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The relatives of the victims could reach the accident spot only after an hour. The victims were transferred to a nearby hospital\u2019s trauma centre from where Kumar, being in coma, was referred to a Kanpur hospital, 130 km away. The relatives of Kumar complained about the speeding vehicle and SDM\u2019s irresponsible behaviour towards the seriously injured Kumar and his sister. The relatives of the victims Devendra Singh, Ram Singh and Chhote Singh were among those who reached the accident spot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Angry villagers blocked the traffic on Karbai road and damaged the SDM\u2019s vehicle having registration number UP90 G0208.
