The incident was a result of a failed abduction attempt that was caught on camera where two assailants could be seen attacking the woman. Police said the incident took place in Faridabad&#8217;s Ballabgarh outside the woman&#8217;s college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim identified as Nikita Tomar was coming out of her college after appearing for an exam when the two men tried to abduct her. They claimed the woman was attacked by a man infatuated by her since 2018. Haryana Police Commissioner told a TV channel &nbsp;that in 2018, Nikita&#8217;s family filed a kidnapping case against Tausif but the family later said they did not want to take action. She urged the police administration to take strong action against the accused and demanded stringent punishment. Protests broke out against the incident in Faridabad where a group of protesters created ruckus at a shop. They demanded justice for Nikita Tomar. The police controlled the crowd and managed to pacify them following which the demonstrators staged a <em>dharna<\/em> and blocked the road.
