On the advice of the doctors, Athawle admitted to the hospital in south Mumbai as a precautionary measure. Athwale complained of cough and body pain following which, he reportedly tested for croronavirus hours after he inducted actor Payal Ghosh in his party. Athawale wore a mask without covering his nose. Both Athawale and Ghosh were photographed standing with their party workers without wearing face masks. While dozens of Maharashtra ministers include Jitendra Awhad (housing), Ashok Chavan (public works department), Varsha Gaikwad (school education), Eknath Shinde (urban development), Nitin Raut (energy) and Dhananjay Munde (social justice) had also tested positive for Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar had tested positive for coronavirus while on Saturday former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has tested positive for Covid-19.
