He launched attacks on incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of the Janata Dal (United), tried his best to woo BJP voters, made huge promises in the party vision document and tweeted in Hindi for a better connect. Going out of the way to grab the attention of voters from all sections of society instead of remaining stuck only with the Paswan votebank, the LJP has put up pictures of Sita, Lord Mahavir, Buddha, Sher Shah Suri and Dr BR Ambedkar among others. However, what the party seems to have missed is a closer look at the Hindi spellings for the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and iconic former chief minister Karpoori Thakur. The LJP chief has even tried his hand at acting, but in this case he seems to have failed to notice the minute details on his party&#8217;s website. We are sure Paswan must have been asked to pay attention to detail during his brief acting career, but it looks like his focus has been only on cameras during this election. The 38-year-old gave several interviews when mourning the death of his father union minister Ram Vilas Paswan. He faced a massive backlash on social media when a video of him bantering with close associates went viral on social media. The video was shot only a few days after his father\u2019s death and has Paswan standing next to his father\u2019s garlanded portrait and cracking jokes about cuts and edits in Bollywood and the texture of his hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paswan Jr had defended the video and said it was taken during the launch of the party manifesto. He said his father passed away at a time when polls were so close and he had no option but to continue with his commitments for the sake of the party.
