Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi on Friday said that his party will support Janata Dal United president Nitish Kumar and the National Democratic Alliance. Manjhi, a former JDU Chief Minister himself, had said yesterday that he won’t join Nitish Kumar\u2019s Cabinet while addressing newly-elected MLAs of HAM(S).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Results of all 243 assembly seats were declared on Wednesday in which NDA secured 125 seats of which BJP won 74. Nitish Kumar\u2019s JDU managed to win 43 seats out of 115 seats it contested on while the NDA junior allies Vikassheel Insaan Party and HAM (S) won 4 seats each. The opposition Mahagathbandhan won 110 seats of which the Rashtriya Janata Dal bagged 75, Congress won 19 and the three Left parties got 16 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 4 newly-elected HAM(S) MLAs met at Manjhi’s residence on Thursday where they elected him leader of the legislature group. Celebrating the party’s best-ever performance in the Bihar assembly election, the leaders and workers of the party have facilitated Manjhi for his hard work and dedication. Manjhi was the lone MLA in the outgoing assembly. Talking to reporters, Manjhi advised the newly-elected MLAs of the Congress to join the NDA for the progress of Bihar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
