14 people including six children died in a horrible road accident in Pratapgarh of Uttar Pradesh late Thursday night. The accident took place when their Bolera rammed into a truck when they were returning from a wedding party. All the occupants of the car died in the accident, while several others were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accident took place at around 11: 45 PM on Thursday night on on the Prayagraj-Lucknow highway near a village. According to the police, the truck was parked at the side of the highway due to puncture of the tyre when the car rammed into it from behind. Following the information, the police rushed to the spot and used a gas cutter to separate the crumpled remains of the car from the truck. Five bodies were recovered from the crash site, the rest of the bodies were pulled out by the police after toiling for almost two hours. The victims were on their way to their village after attending a wedding when the accident took place. The children who died due to the accident were all aged between 7-15, according to officials. The eight others were men aged between 20 and 60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uttar Pradesh chief minister<\/a> Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the incident. He has also asked the officials to provide all possible help to victims\u2019 families. Pratapgarh Superintendent of Police (SP) Anurag Arya said the police have spoken to victims\u2019 families and heads of the village and assured them all possible help. The bodies will be sent for the post-mortem examination on Friday. The police are also trying to contact the owners of the car as well as the truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
