The Dilli Chalo march by farmers from Punjab into Haryana on their way to the capital triggered a Twitter battle between the chief ministers of Punjab and Haryana on Thursday. The farmers are protesting the new farm laws passed by the Narendra Modi government.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar said he would leave politics if there would be any trouble on procuring crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP) in the state in an attempt to discourage farmers from Haryana from joining the protest march. This is one of the main reasons of worry for the farmers in Haryana. He accused Punjab CM Amarinder Singh of endangering the lives of farmers during the coronavirus pandemic, he said don’t play such cheap politics. The farm laws passed have no mention of MSP but PM Modi and other BJP leaders have maintained that the MSP structure will continue.

.@capt_amarinder ji, I've said it earlier and I'm saying it again, I'll leave politics if there'll be any trouble on the MSP – therefore, please stop inciting innocent farmers.
— Manohar Lal (मोदी का परिवार) (@mlkhattar) November 26, 2020
