PM Narendra Modi on Sunday reached out to farmers in his monthly radio broadcast Mann Ki Baat and spoke about the advantages of new farm laws amid the protests being carried out by farmers for the fourth consecutive day. He said the laws reforms have opened new doors of possibilities for the farming community. He said these reforms have been brought in following a long-standing demand by farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the agricultural reforms got legal form following a lot of deliberations. He said the new laws have resulted in more rights and opportunities for farmers. He said that these new rights have already begun to improve the lives of farmers and reduce their sufferings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the protests are continuing for the fourth consecutive day. The protesting farmers have refused to move to Burari despite Amit Shah\u2019s proposal that the Centre will talk to them if they move to the approved protest site. The home minister said if the farmers move to Burari to hold a peaceful protest, the Centre will hold talks with them before December 3. The Home minister said every problem and demand of the farmers will be looked into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, protestors tried to cross Ghazipur border. They alos broke barricades resulting in a tense situation. Farmer unions have requested the farmers to intensify the protests from December 1. The leaders of farmers will hold a press conference later in the day at Singur border to decide further course of action. Yogendra Yadav will also be present during the media conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
