Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/a> will chair an all party meeting on Friday morning to discuss the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country, Reports said. The floor leaders of both houses of parliament will be present in the virtual meeting on December 4 at 10.30 am. The meeting comes in the backdrop of\u00a0 India’s Covid-19 cases count that crossed the mark of 94 lakhs on Monday. This is the second all party meeting called by the government since the outbreak of pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnat Singh, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Prahlad Joshi are likely to take part in the meeting, reports said. The meeting comes at a time when the government is contemplating on merging of the winter session of parliament with the budget session in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting is significant as it is being held after PM Modi<\/a>‘s visit to pharmaceutical companies in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Pune to review coronavirus vaccine development work there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PM Narendra Modi<\/a> had virtual meetings with 3 teams working on developing & manufacturing vaccine for Covid-19, today. These teams were from Gennova Biopharmaceuticals Ltd Pune, Biological E Ltd Hyderabad and Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PM appreciated the efforts being taken by the scientists in these companies to come out with a vaccine solution to tackle COVID-19.
