And now the government claimed that it never said everyone will get a vaccine, exactly what does the PM stand by, questioned the Congress MP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">PM- Everyone will get vaccine.<br><br>BJP in Bihar elections- Everyone in Bihar will get free vaccine.<br><br>Now, GOI- Never said everyone will get vaccine.<br><br>Exactly what does the PM stand by?<\/p>&mdash; Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RahulGandhi\/status\/1334343884357287942?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 3, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gandhi\u2019s attack at <a href=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/topic\/pm-modi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PM Modi<\/a> came days after the central government clarified that it had never spoken about inoculating everyone with the anticipated coronavirus vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a media briefing on Tuesday, Health secretary Rajesh Bhushan had said that if a critical mass of people are given a vaccine shot to break the chain of the virus transmission, there may not be a need to vaccinate the entire population of the country against the Covid-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bhushan made it clear that the government had never talked about vaccinating the entire population against the novel coronavirus disease. It is important that discussion over such scientific issues take place based only on factual information and then analysed, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same press conference, the ICMR Director-General Dr Balram Bhargava, said the inoculation will depend on the efficacy of the vaccine. The purpose is to break the chain of transmission, if we are able to vaccinate a critical mass of people.Then the entire population may not have to vaccinate, he said .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, while campaigning for Bihar bypolls, BJP promised free vaccines to the residents of Bihar.
