Taking to Twitter after receiving the vaccine, the 78-year-old urged all American to take it saying there was nothing to worry about. He also thanked researchers and scientists for working tirelessly and developing the vaccine for the pandemic, which has resulted in more than one million deaths worldwide. United States is the worst-affected country in the world with 18.1 million cases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today, I received the COVID-19 vaccine.<br><br>To the scientists and researchers who worked tirelessly to make this possible \u2014 thank you. He also asked people to listen to experts and  avoid travel if possible. The President-elect also credited Trump administration for overseeing speedy development and production of vaccines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/YAFBiden\/status\/1341117577788092421\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The news of Biden being administered the vaccine comes at a time when current President Donald Trump has done little to boost the confidence of his countrymen in vaccine. Trump is yet to receive his first dose and has been citing the natural immunity he developed  after being infected  from the virus. Trump was hospitalised with COVID-19 back in October. The Committee said that no data is available on the efficacy and safety of the Pfizer vaccine in people who have received monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma as part of their treatment plan.
