The Ram Mandir trust in Ayodhya on asked the Indian Institutes of Technology to suggest better models for the foundation of the temple after a stream of the Sarayu River has been found below the foundation stone during the excavation on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The construction committee of the temple, chaired by former principal secretary to the prime minister Nripendra Misra held deliberations over the matter on Tuesday, said the existing model for the foundation of the temple was not feasible as a stream of the Sarayu River is flowing below the temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The discovery of Sarayu River stream is being seen as a huge obstacle in the way of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and also being considered unsafe for the foundation of the temple, for which the trust has sought help from IITs. According to the PTI reports that the Trust is now looking to use vibro stone columns to support rafts on which stones can be placed or improving the quality and grip of soil by adding engineering mix to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In such a situation, while the Ram temple is targeted to be completed by 2023, due to the hindrance in the Foundation work, the possibility of delay in it has increased. The construction of temple was to start from January 15, but now it is difficult to move forward with construction before resolving the issue. The temple will be built as per the design prepared by architect Sompura, a renowned architect who had to prepare the design in 1989.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
