A statement  issued by the State Directorate of Info &amp; Public Relations stated that the ban services has been extended to Ambala, Yamuna Nagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, Hisar, Jind, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Rewari and Sirsa. The ban was already imposed in Sonipat, Palwal and Jhajjar districts. The government took this step to avoid the spread of disinformation and false rumours through various social media platforms, such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter for mobilisation of antisocial elements who can disturb the peace, cause loss of life and damage to public assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tractor parade that was held on Republic day as a part of farmers&#8217; protest and to highlight their demand for repeal of the Centre&#8217;s contentious farm laws descended into violent clashes. The clashes erupted between Delhi police and the protesters who deviated from the designated routes and entered the national capital. Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu had hoisted the Nishan Sahib, the sikh religious flag near the tricolor at the Red Fort which became the the epicenter of the chaos that shook the national capital.
