Following the completion of first phase of disengagement process in the north and south banks of Pangong Tso, senior commanders of Indian and Chinese army will be holding the tenth rounds of talks on Saturday to discuss other friction points. Earlier this week, the two sides completed the disengagement process by withdrawing the troops and the military hardware from the banks of the Pangong lake in Ladakh. The verification of the same was completed on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An official said everything that was agreed upon during the ninth round of talks has been achieved. He said status quo ante has been achieved at Pangong Tso. He added China has pulled back its troops to east of finger 8 while India has moved back to finger 3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tenth round of talks will be taking place at the Moldo border point\u00a0on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, according to sources. The talks between the two sides had begun in June. However, the breakthrough was achieved earlier this month after several rounds of talks. Defence minister Rajnath Singh informed in Parliament on February 11 that China has agreed to withdraw its troops to the east of Finger 8 areas in the northern bank of Pangong lake, while Indian army will go back to its permanent base at Dhan Singh Thapa Post near Finger 3 in the region. He said other friction points including Depsang, Hot Springs, and Gogra will be discussed during the next round of talks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
