However, on the ground, when we spoke to the girls&#39; families, they still say the police wanted an early cremation. Earlier, the UP Police had registered cases against the journalists for covering Hathras rape case incident. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Unnao police had accused eight Twitter handles of spreading fake news claiming that the girls were raped and their last rites had been performed without their parents\u2019 consent\u2014similar to what was reported during the Hathras rape case last year. Barkha said she had followed all the journalistic principles during reporting on the evolving story.
