A man whose daughter was sexually harassed was shot dead on Monday at 4 pm by the accused who was out on bail since 2018, the police said on the wee hours of Tuesday. The incident took place in the Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The daughter of the deceased man said her father was shot by six-seven people who fired at his temple as well as chest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The daughter said her father had filed a complaint against Gaurav Sharma on charges of molestation in 2018. Irked by this, Sharma and six of his accomplices on Monday evening shot her father after an argument over the case, she alleged. A video of victim’s inconsolable daughter surfaced on social media in which she was heard saying they shot her father in the temple, chest and back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police said daughter of the victim had gone to a temple on Monday where Gaurav Sharma\u2019s wife and aunt had also come. The two families started arguing in the temple over the case. The accused and the victim also arrived at the temple the accused shot him. The man was grievously injured and succumbed to injuries, police added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later, when the girl reached the hospital, she found that her father had died. She was in tears outside the hospital and could barely speak. With folded hands, she urged police to take strict action against the main accused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The girl in the video was heard as saying she needs justice. First, he committed molested her and and then when her father lodged a case against him, he killed him out of annoyance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
