In a bid to increase the pace of vaccination, Union Health minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has said hospitals will be allowed to extend or advance the vaccination schedule any day. He said the govt has removed the time constraint for increasing the pace of vaccination. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi understands the value of both time and health of citizens and people can get themselves vaccinated according to their convenience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new rules will apply to both the private and government hospitals as both are conducting the vaccination through CoWin application and website. Earlier, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said the CoWin app has no 9 am to 5 pm vaccination system. Hospitals are allowed to vaccinate for as long as they want. They can vaccinate even till 8 pm. However, they will have to coordinate with the state government for schedule and capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the constraints have been removed to avoid overcrowding at hospital as has been seen in the second phase of vaccination. \u00a0He said it’s an important feedback that overcrowding is happening and that the government will make changes in the system to prevent overcrowding at vaccination sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
