His ticket for the return flight scheduled on March 24 has also been cancelled by the airline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The MP from Osmanabad in Maharashtra reacted spectacularly to not having been allotted a business class seat aboard the flight \u2013 he had a business class ticket \u2013 and beat duty manager Shiv Kumar with his slipper \u201c25 times\u201d when the airline employee politely asked him to disembark after the plane landed in Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Despite having been given a seat in the front row by the staff to ensure VIP treatment, Gaekwad refused to leave. A stewardess\u2019 repeated appeals to his better self, citing him to be a \u201crole model\u201d and \u201cdemocratic leader\u201d, fell on deaf ears.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Strangely enough, Gaekwad expressed no remorse to the media when asked about the incident, insisting that Kumar, not he, apologise.
