He had received his first dose of vaccine on March 1, becoming the first beneficiary after the vaccination was widened to people above 60 and those over 45 with other illnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While taking his second shot, PM Modi urged all those eligible to get inoculated against the deadly virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tweeting a photo of his vaccination, the Prime Minister said vaccination is among the few ways we have, to defeat the deadly virus. He said he took his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at AIIMS. All those eligible for the vaccine, get the shot soon, PM Modi added shared a link to the CoWin website, a portal to register for the vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/narendramodi\/status\/1379974475278557187\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>PM Modi took first dose of covaxin developed by Bharat Biotech and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), tackling hesitancy over the Covid-19 Vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>India began inoculating lakhs of its citizens above the age of 45 from April 1 to contain the surge in coronavirus infections that are touching daily records since early October 2020\u2019s cases. The Covid-19 vaccination drive in India started on January 16 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi launching the world\u2019s biggest rollout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government called it the beginning of the end of the coronavirus that has claimed over 1 lakh lives, affected businesses, drained the economy, led to the biggest migrant crisis and unprecedented suffering since early last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read Also: <a href=\"Covid-19: Is India staring at a vaccine shortage?
