India is grappling with an unprecedented second of Covid-19 that has claimed thousands of lives in the capital itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the Delhi administration gets an adequate 700 tonnes of oxygen supply &#8211; it will be able to set up 9,000-9,500 beds in Delhi. The government will be able to create oxygen beds, the Delhi CM said at a news briefing. The AAP government claimed that BJP-ruled states have been prioritised and allocated more oxygen cylinders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hospitals in Delhi had to reduce their bed capacity due to the oxygen crisis, Kejriwal said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He requested all the hospitals to reinstate their bed capacity, hoping the city will receive 700 tonnes of oxygen everyday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a health bulletin issued by the Delhi government, the capital recorded 20,960 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday from 79,491 tests conducted in 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read Also: <a href=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/kerala-covid-lockdown-may-8-may-16\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/kerala-covid-lockdown-may-8-may-16\/\">Covid-19 surge: Kerala announces complete lockdown from May 8 to May 16<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the Covid-19 caseload in India has reached 2,10,77,410 with 4,12,262 new infections and 3,980 fatalities being reported on Thursday.
