{"id":13107,"date":"2017-03-31T19:30:28","date_gmt":"2017-03-31T14:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/?p=13107"},"modified":"2017-04-03T11:42:20","modified_gmt":"2017-04-03T06:12:20","slug":"yogi-cracks-mass-cheating-exams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/india-news\/yogi-cracks-mass-cheating-exams\/","title":{"rendered":"Yogi cracks down on mass cheating in exams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<em>Exams suspended in 54 centres, cases against 1,400 students<\/em><\/p>\n<p>APN Correspondent<\/p>\n<p>The Uttar Pradesh government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has suspended examinations in 54 centres, registered cases against more than 1,400 students, as well as FIRs against invigilators and even guardians for being involved in a mass copying racket in the ongoing board examinations in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Action came immediately after Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister, instructed District Inspectors of School in a meeting through video conferencing on March 29. \u00a0Implementation started the same day with instructions to take immediate action under the Anti-Copying Act, 1998.<\/p>\n<p>Some 60.61 lakh students were registered to appear in the board examinations, while 5.25 lakh students have bunked the exams. FIRs have been filed against four school managers and 111 coordinators of the exam centres. Cases were also filed against 178 invigilators. Meanwhile, 54 examination centres were barred from holding board exams in future.<\/p>\n<p>The Board examinations for Classes X and XII began on March 16 and will continue till April 21.<\/p>\n<p><em>APN<\/em> carried a special report, <em>Nakel par Nakel<\/em>, during its morning show, <em>Wake Up Zindagi<\/em>. The report gave details of the actions taken after Yogi Adityanath took over the reins of the UP government. There were reports of rampant mass copying from several districts.
