The Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi,Priyanka Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Tuesday reportedly on something crucial than the upcoming state polls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If sources are to be believed, Kishor is going to play a significant role in getting the Congress party battle-ready ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. In the meeting held in Congress MP\u2019s home in Delhi, Gandhi scions were present while Congress president Sonia Gandhi joined the discussions via a virtual link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meetings of Kishor with Gandhis were earlier believed to be held to resolve issues in Punjab, where the party is struggling to broker peace between Chief minister Amarinder Singh and his rival Navjot Singh Sidhu ahead of the next year\u2019s state polls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to sources, the presence of the three Gandhis together on Tuesday suggests that any decision on a strategy will be unanimous. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not the first time the ace strategist Kishor, a transformative figure in several elections and for many regional leaders, has met the Congress family. Earlier, they collaborated during its failed campaign for the Uttar Pradesh elections in 2017. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since then, Kishor has publicly expressed his disappointment in Congress\u2019s style of functioning and its apparent stasis, which has dogged the grand old party in most elections. However, the recent collaboration hints at forming a stronger strategy to take on the BJP in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has also met Kishor in quick succession and fueled talk of a combined opposition strategy to become battle-ready for 2024. However, Congress was not present in the much-bandied Rashtra Manch meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
