Veteran Bollywood actor Raza Ali Murad has said the coronavirus pandemic has hit the film industry badly just like it has impacted the country and the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visiting Lucknow, Murad spoke on a range of issues ranging from sports to films “Corona has hit all areas, but there has been a lot of damage in the film industry, whether it is small actors or thousands of behind-the-scenes actors who work as daily wage labourers, all of them have suffered a natural disaster, due to which the government also suffered a lot.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Murad, who has entertained people with his talent in Ramlila for 11 years, will be seen as Kumbhakaran this time in Ramlila to be held in Ayodhya this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The veteran actor, who follows sports keenly, said he agreed with the Narendra Modi government’s decision to rename the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award as Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. Murad said not just this, Major Dhyan Chand, who is called the magician of hockey, should be honoured with the Bharat Ratna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The government renamed the Rajiv Gandhi Award in his honour as Major Dhyan Chand was a wonderful sportsperson. It should be welcomed,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, “India’s brilliant performance in the Olympics has given energy to the youth, India’s performance will be good in future also.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
