The Taliban on Tuesday warned the people of Afghanistan that they would no longer allow any any Afghans to leave the country as the militant group is not happy about it. It also rejected the talks of extending the deadline for U.S. troops to pull out, as a frantic Western evacuation operation at Kabul airport picked up pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Taliban’s new message came as President Joe Biden faced growing pressure from US top allies to seek an extension to the August 31 deadline for exiting Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Taliban had captured Kabul on August 15 after which President Ashraf Ghani fled the country. However, common people are also trying to leave Afghanistan at any cost. Thousands have gathered at Kabul Airport to flee the country. Till now thousands of people have left the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that now no Afghan will be allowed to leave the country. However, he has made it clear that any foreign nationals who live in Afghanistan can return to their homeland. But Afghan citizen will not be allowed to leave the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking to the US media, Zabiullah Mujahid said that the road leading to the airport has been blocked. Afghans cannot go to the airport from that road, but foreign nationals will be allowed to go to the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this, the Taliban spokesman said that all the Afghans who have left the country so far should return here. The Taliban is not happy with the people who have left the country and those who want to go. Now it will not allow anyone to leave the country. Doctors and academicians of Afghanistan should not leave the country, they should work for their homeland, Mujahid said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As soon as the Taliban captured Kabul, the then President Ashraf Ghani fled Kabul with his family, leaving the Afghans on their own. At present he is in the refuge of UAE. US President Joe Biden said that since August 14, more than 70 thousand people have been evacuated from Kabul. These include American citizens, NATO forces and Afghans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
