Last week, an Odia officer took social media by storm after he stopped Bollywood actor Salman Khan for a security check at Mumbai airport. The video of the incident went viral on the internet and garnered praises for the officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Followed by the incident, the news of the officer Somnath Mohanty being in trouble were doing rounds on Tuesday. However, the official Twitter page of CISF rubbished the rumours and has clarified that the officer has been rewarded for exemplary service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tagging the Spokesperson, Ministry of Home Affairs, CISF tweeted, “The contents of this tweet are incorrect & without factual basis. In fact, the officer concerned has been suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism in the discharge of his duty.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
