Jaishankar (Modi Ka Parivar) (@DrSJaishankar) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DrSJaishankar\/status\/1430815173355261952?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 26, 2021<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The government told opposition leaders the Taliban broke promises made to the United States and its allies in Doha in the weeks up to its occupation of Kabul, sources said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In February 2020, the US and the Taliban had signed an agreement in Doha to bring peace to Afghanistan to end more than 18 years of conflict. The US and NATO allies had agreed to withdraw all troops within 14 months if the militants uphold the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the evacuation Indians stranded in Afghanistan, the govt told the 31 opposition leaders that around 15,000 people have contacted the government seeking assistance in fleeing from Afghanistan. India has evacuated over 800 people from Afghanistan since August 15. Most of these are Indian nationals and members of the Afghan Sikh and Hindu communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Our strong friendship with the people of Afghanistan is reflected in the more than 500 projects we have there.
