Hartalika Teej is one of the auspicious festivals and it is widely celebrated in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. On this day, women observe a fast and they pray to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This day is observed on the Tritiya tithi of Shukla Paksha in Bhadrapada month. This festival is somewhat similar to Karva Chauth as the women pray for the well being of their husbands on this day. This year, Hartalika Teej will be observed on September 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hartalika Teej is known as the third and the last of three Teej festivals that is celebrated by married women in the months of Sharavan and Bhadrapada. There are a total of three Teej that falls in a year. The first Teej is known as Hariyali Teej, the second one is known as Kajari Teej and the third one is known as Haratalika Teej.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
