In a piece of welcoming news, the United States on Monday announced that it will lift Covid travel bans on all fully vaccinated air passengers in November and they will go undergo testing and contact tracing.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the travel plans of business travellers, and the plans of people visiting their friends and family who are living in the US came to a halt.

The United States will lift the travel ban from 33 countries including India, Brazil, China and most European countries. Only passengers who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to travel to the US, said The White House on Monday.

White House coronavirus response coordinator Jeff Zients said that the passengers need to show they are fully vaccinated before boarding the plane. Apart from this, the passengers also need to show their Covid negative report, and the test should take place three days prior to travelling.

Zients also said that the masks will be obligatory on US-bound flights and the airlines will provide the details of the passengers so that contact tracing can take place.

He further said that as a family, we all; will be together for Thanksgiving and that’s a good thing that they are lifting the ban from the US.
