With the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) deciding not to move the Supreme Court on the Delhi High Court\u2019s ruling to stick with the marks moderation policy, it is likely the board will declare the Class 12 results within 48 hours.<\/p>\n
The results could be announced as soon as Saturday evening, said reports on Network18.<\/p>\n
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday had directed the CBSE to restore the moderation policy a day before the day results were expected.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe important and underlying reason for this move by CBSE definitely deserves credit. The unrealistic cut-offs in colleges due to artificial inflation of marks was a bubble waiting to burst,\u201d said Sunita Nagpal, the principal of DPS, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon, about the moderation policy to NDTV.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said the CBSE would give grace marks to students whose scores are just below the passing line, while the policy to inflate marks of high-scoring students would be stopped.
