October 12 marks day 7 of Navratri Puja. On Saptami, devotees worship Goddess Kalaratri who is the seventh form of Goddess Durga. She is believed to be the fiercest form of goddess Durga. The seventh day of Navratri will also mark the Navpatrika Puja day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is believed that Maa Kalaratri emerged when Parvati peeled off her divine golden skin to end the demons named Shumbha and Nishumbha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is known for vanquishing fear, negative forces, ghost, and evil spirits. She is believed in that she protects her devotees and fulfills all their wishes. Because of this, she is also known as shubhankari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the pictorial depiction of her is said that she is dark in complexion and mounted on a donkey. She carries a sword and a deadly iron hook with both her hands and keeps her other two hands in Abhaya and Vararda mudra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The significance of Maa Kalaratri puja is that she blesses her devotees with grace, \u00a0power, position, and eminent status. She protects her devotees from evil spirits. It is also said that Maa Kalaratri provides siddhis, knowledge, power, and wealth to her devotees. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
