October 12 marks day 7 of Navratri Puja. On Saptami, devotees worship Goddess Kalaratri who is the seventh form of Goddess Durga. She is believed to be the fiercest form of goddess Durga. The seventh day of Navratri will also mark the Navpatrika Puja day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Significance of Maa Kalaratri Puja<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is believed that Maa Kalaratri emerged when Parvati peeled off her divine golden skin to end the demons named Shumbha and Nishumbha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is known for vanquishing fear, negative forces, ghost, and evil spirits. She is believed in that she protects her devotees and fulfills all their wishes. Because of this, she is also known as shubhankari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the pictorial depiction of her is said that she is dark in complexion and mounted on a donkey. She carries a sword and a deadly iron hook with both her hands and keeps her other two hands in Abhaya and Vararda mudra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The significance of Maa Kalaratri puja is that she blesses her devotees with grace, \u00a0power, position, and eminent status. She protects her devotees from evil spirits. It is also said that Maa Kalaratri provides siddhis, knowledge, power, and wealth to her devotees. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colour of Saptami tithi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The colour of Saptami tithi is red, and Saptami tithi is considered to be very auspicious as  People worship the nine planets with banana, pomegranate, turmeric, Ashoka, bel, arum plant, colocasia, and paddy. According to legends, Devi Durga created \u2018Ashtanayika\u2019 during the war with demons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navratri 2021 saptami tithi and muhurat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to panchnag, the Saptami tithi will remain in effect up to 09:47 pm on October 12 followed by Ashtami tithi. The nakshatra will prevail in Mula Nakshatra up to 11:27 pm, after which Purva Ashadha nakshatra will come into effect on October 12. Today, the Moon will be in Dhanu Rashi while the Sun will remain in the Kanya Rashi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
