How Sehwag became ‘Multan ka Sultan?’

17 years ago in 2004, when India toured Pakistan, no one could have imagined that a 26-year boy from Delhi will be thrashing the world-class bowling attack of Pakistan. The rivalry between India and Pakistan were at peak. In the first test match at Multan, Indian team led by Rahul Dravid chose to bat first against Pakistan and Sehwag was batting fearlessly against the Pakistani bowling attack which included the likes of Shoaib Akhtar, Abdul Razzaq, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Md Sami. Despite that, he scored 309 runs, smashing bowlers all over the park. With Sehwag’s 309 and Tendulkar’s unbeaten 194 runs, India had the match in their pockets and went on to beat Pakistan by an innings and 52 runs.
