Noted television actor and Bharatnatyam dancer, Sudhaa Chandran recently raised the issue for specially challenged senior citizens being grilled at airports. She opened up about how every time she is asked to remove her artificial limb by the airport authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 56-year-old actor also sought help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested him to issue a specific card for specially challenged senior citizens like her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sudhaa Chandran released a video on her Instagram wherein she can be heard making an appeal to PMO Narendra Modi. She said that she is making an appeal to both the central government and the state government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking about herself and her artificial limb, she said that she is an actress and a dancer by profession and had danced with the prosthetic leg. She had created history and made her country proud. However, every time she is on her professional visits, she is stopped at the airport each time. When she requests the authorities and CISF officials to do an Explosive Trace Detector test, they still ask her to remove her artificial limb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She further continued and questioned PM Modi that is this the respect that a woman gives another woman in our society. Concludingly, she requested PM Modi to give senior citizens a special card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
