The evergreen and Bollywood’s one of the most versatile actors Tabassum Hashmi aka Tabu turned a year older on November 4. In her 27-years of a long career, Tabu has done some well-acclaimed films and her acting prowess has helped her bag several prestigious accolades including Padam Shri. She received her first National Award for her stint in the film Maachis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born as Tabassum Fatima Hashmi, the actor made her acting debut in Dev Anand’s Hum Naujawan in 1985. However, her first lead role was in the Telugu film Coolie No.1. From working with noted filmmakers like Mani Ratnam, Gulzar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Priyadarshan, and K. Raghavendra Rao, she has surely come a long way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
