The United Nations General Assembly declared November 5 as World Tsunami Awareness Day in December 2015, urging governments, international organizations, and civil society to increase tsunami awareness and exchange innovative risk-reduction strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
World Tsunami Awareness Day Theme: In 2021, World Tsunami Awareness Day will promote target (f) of the “Sendai Seven Campaign,” which intends to “substantially enhance global cooperation to emerging nations through adequate and sustainable support to complement their national actions for implementation of the current Framework by 2030.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
