The \u201coutstanding\u201d White House remarks indicated development of closer chemistry between the two leaders.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/topic\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Donald Trump,<\/a> while welcoming Modi, said, \u201cI am thrilled to salute you, Prime Minister Modi, and the Indian people for all you are accomplished together. The relationship between India and US has never been stronger, never been better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Praising India\u2019s economic growth, Trump said, \u201cYour accomplishments have been vast. India has the fastest growing economy in the world. We hope we\u2019ll be catching you very soon in terms of percentage increase \u2013 I have to tell you, we\u2019re working on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Modi was quoted as saying, \u201cI am sure that convergence between my vision for \u201cnew India\u201d and President Trump\u2019s vision to \u201cmake America Great Again\u201d will add new dimensions to our cooperation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At one point Modi said, \u201cWe are global engines of growth. The all round comprehensive economic growth and joint progress of both countries and societies are the priorities of India and US.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump said that both the countries had been affected by the \u201cevils of terrorism\u201d and the \u201cradical ideology that drives them\u201d.\u00a0 He further said, \u201cWe will destroy radical Islamic terrorism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before concluding his remarks Modi said, \u201cI look forward to welcome your daughter to India for the entrepreneurship summit. I invite you to visit India with your family. I would like to invite you to India, along with your family, and hope that you will give me the opportunity to welcome you to India.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During Modi\u2019s US visit India has successfully gained several landmark achievements because of the closer chemistry between the two leaders. India got Major Defense Partner status, clearance of two billion dollar drone deal, and most importantly Washington\u2019s approval for New Delhi\u2019s Pakistan policy, especially about cross border terrorism. The text of the joint statement gives a feeling that New Delhi was given free hand to incorporate its major concerns in the document.<\/p>\n<p>After the press conference <a href=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/topic\/narendra-modi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prime Minister Modi<\/a> gave Mr Trump a trade mark hug.
