In a tragic incident, four children died as fire broke out in the special newborn care unit (SNCU) of Kamala Nehru Children’s Hospital on Monday night. Currently, the government has ordered a high-level probe into the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is reported that there were 40 children in the ward out of which 36 are safe. The Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang told ANI that an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh will be given to the parents of each deceased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the fire broke around at 9 pm and immediately 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also condoled the demise of children in the tragic incident. He said that the untimely departure of children from the world is unbearable pain. Adding further to this, CM Shivraj said that he will pray to God for peace to the departed souls. His deepest condolences to the families of the children. He wishes a speedy recovery for those who were injured in the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the angry family members of some children alleged that the hospital staff instead of saving the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Former Chief Minister and the leader of the opposition Kamal Nath said that the incident is very painful and he demanded stern action against those responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BMC fire officer Rameshwar Neel said that the smoke was filled in the building, and due to which there was a state of panic among the relatives of the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the fire was immediately bought under control with the help of 25 fire tenders from Fatehgarh, Bairagarh and Shahjahanabad station, said SP (north) Vijay Khatri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
