The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday declared a public holiday on November 10 for the Chhath Puja festival. Reports said the state government has ordered authorities to make arrangements for the people so they can celebrate the festival without any difficulty. It has also asked people to follow all the Covid protocols such as social distancing and masks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uttar Pradesh is not the only state that has declared the public holiday this auspicious day, there few more states across India that have declared November 10 a public holiday on the account of Chhath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bihar<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bihar is one of the primary states where Chhath Puja is celebrated on a large scale. The state government has declared a public holiday on the occasion of Chhat. Bihar PM Nitish Kumar urged people to celebrate the festival by keeping all the Covid safety protocols in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jharkhand<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After Bihar, the Chhath Puja is widely celebrated in Jharkhand, for that, the state government has already declared a public holiday on November 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delhi<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Last week, the Delhi government also declared a public holiday on Chhat Puja. The Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal informed people that all all the government offices will remain close on the account of Chhat. The Aam Admi Party government also made arrangements for all the devotees to celebrate the festival without any problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said Chhath Puja will be celebrated with full fervour across the city. Arrangements have been made at 800 ghats in Delhi already. He further urged people not to forget Covid-19 as it is not over yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, India on Monday witnessed almost 10,126 fresh Covid cases, which is the lowest in 266 days. On Sunday, 11,451 new Covid cases with 266 infection-related deaths were reported across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
