According to media reports, some of the citizens have also heard a loud explosion-like sound post the tremors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No official sources have confirmed the earthquake, however, Android Earthquake Alerts System has said that there are reports of shaking in the Visakhapatnam area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) said that it was a rare occurrence on the east coast, particularly in Andhra Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, tweeple shared their experience on Twitter. Tagging the National Center of Seismology, one user asked the organisation to confirm a seismic activity in Visakhapatnam.
