The counseling for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) will commence today, January 12, 2022. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which regulates NEET counselling, will start accepting registrations for the NEET PG counselling procedure All India Quota (AIQ) Round 1 from January 17, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants will be able to choose and confirm their desired colleges from January 13 to January 17, 2022, respectively after completing NEET PG AIQ Round 1 registration. While institutes will conduct applicant verification between January 18 and 19, the round 1 seat allotment outcome will be announced on January 22, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NEET 2021 counselling schedule will be updated on the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) official website, mcc.nic.in<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NEET 2021 UG counselling process is a long procedure in which candidates need to do registration, payment of fees, choice filling; choice filling and locking, seat assignment, results, and reporting at colleges, these all are the parts of counselling for NEET-UG 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), it will also update the NEET 2021 counselling program. Students who have achieved a score higher than the NEET 2021 cut-off, can register online at the website mcc.nic.in<\/a>. For admission to undergraduate medical degrees, the registration will be done for the 15% All India quota (AIQ) seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seats at government colleges (except those in Jammu and Kashmir), central and deemed universities, seats reserved for children of insured persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges, and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune are among the seats available under the NEET 2021 all India quota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For admission to state government and private dentistry and medical colleges, the 85 percent state quota seats for NEET 2021 counselling will be administered by the respective state authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AIIMS follows the central government’s reservation policy, which is primarily applied to seats provided by AIIMS to the All India Quota:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All India Quota for SC (Scheduled Castes) -15 percent
All India Quota for ST (Scheduled Tribes) – 7.5 percent
All India Quota for OBC (Other Backward Class) – 27 percent to non-creamy layer
All India Quota for PWD (Person with disability) – 5 percent
All India Quota for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) – 10 percent<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, November 12, 2021, the Supreme Court overturned a Bombay High Court ruling ordering the National Testing Agency (NTA) to reschedule two National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 undergraduate applicants whose question papers and OMR sheets were jumbled up at a Maharashtra testing centre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite sympathizing with their plight, a bench of Justices L Nageswara Rao and B R Gavai stated that it would be impossible to conduct a re-examination just for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the students, while distributing the test booklets at 1:50 pm, all the booklets fell down on the floor in the examination hall due to which the test booklets and the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets got mixed up and hence, NTA ake for a second opportunity to re-exam their papers. The students whose test booklets and the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets got mixed up are Vaishnavi Bhopale and Abhishek Shivaji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
