November 21 marks the death anniversary of noted physicist and Nobel Prize winner Chandrasekhara Raman aka CV Raman. DR CV Raman is one of the greatest legends in India and the first person to receive the prestigious Nobel Prize in physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born in Tamil Nadu\u2019s Tiruchirappalli on November 7, 1888, Dr CV Raman left the world on November 21, 1970. He was a person who left an incredible mark on how we understand and study light. CV Raman discovered the famous Raman Effect along with one of his students back in February 1928 and emerged as the first Asian recipient of the Nobel Prize in the field of science in 1930.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His initial research as a student was in the field of optics and acoustic to which he worked on his entire career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
