Activists vandalised the vegetable shop belonging to the minor boy\u2019s family while shouting pro-Hindu slogans.<\/p>\n<p>The shop owner had fled the spot.<\/p>\n<p>However, the situation was soon brought under control after police received reinforcements from a nearby city. Police says the protest has subsided since then and there was no violence overnight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe police have been deployed in the town and we are in constant touch with the officials. The minor was held last evening and he will be produced before the juvenile justice (board),\u201d said Hindustan Times, quoting Jagat Ram Joshi, Superintendent of Police, Pauri Garhwal.<\/p>\n<p>The boy was held after one local resident filed police complaint under Section 295 (a) of the Indian Penal Code (deliberate act to outrage religious feelings) and Section 66A of the Information Technology (IT) Act.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, Satpauli is home to five Muslim families and it has no history of communal tension.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happens a few days after a boy\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/topic\/facebook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">facebook <\/a>post led to communal violence in West Bengal\u2019s North 24 Parganas district.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A minor boy, whose offensive Facebook post on Kedarnath Shrine triggered communal violence in Uttarakhand\u2019s Satpauli town, will likely be produced before a juvenile court on Monday.
