The winter session of Parliament began today on November 29. On the first day of the 25-day Parliament session, a bill to repeal farm laws was passed in the Lok Sabha amidst the protest over demands for discussion on 5tha5t b6y the opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the bill to cancel farm laws was passed without any discussion. Soon after that, the opposition started raising slogans and the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the bill to cancel farm laws was passed, farmers leader Rakesh Tikait said that this is done, now speak on farmers’ other crucial issues like a guarantee of MSP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tikait was also asked that if the farmers are going to celebrate the day. To which, he said that several farmers died during the protest, should they also celebrate that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the Parliament session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his government is ready to reply to all questi9ons. He also said that whatever voices are raised against the government or government policies – the dignity of parliament and the Speaker’s Chair should be upheld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Winter Session of Parliament, it is ex0peted that the government will introduce over 30 legislative bills and one finance bill. In this session, bills like Cryptocurrency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill, Electricity (Amendment) Bill, and Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021 is expected to be passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from this, in today’s session, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla made an announcement in which he said that he has accepted the resignation of Babul Supriyo from the House with effect from October 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other news, the India Meteorological Department (IMD)<\/a> has issued the orange alert for Gujarat. This week, parts of Gujarat can witness extreme rainfall on December 1 and 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
