Several leaders including Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and senior Congress leader Anand Sharma on Tuesday slammed the Yogi Adutyanath government Uttar Pradesh after Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe that Lakhimpur Kheri violence was as a planned conspiracy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seeking an inquiry into the role of Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni in the Lakhimpur conspiracy, Priyanka Gandhi accused PM Modi of having anti-farmer mindset and said the Modi government is not removing the Union Minister from his post due to his anti-farmer mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also tweeted that due to the court’s rebuke and because of ‘satyagraha’, now even the police is saying that the minister\u2019s son had conspired and crushed the farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cashing the opportunity to attack the UP’s Yogi Adityanath government, Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP government should pressurise Union minister Ajay Mishra to resign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking with the ANI, Yadav said it has been proved after the SIT report that the minister and his son had conspired. Now the members of the BJP should pressurise Mishra to resign, the SP chief said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma spoke with APN News and said a fair action should be taken as per the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharma also said what happened in Lakhimpur is painful as well as shameful. However, after the SIT report the minister’s son has no moral responsibility to remain in the government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi should also ensured Mishra’s resignation because everyone has the equal legal and constitutional rights in the country, he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
