US schools are on alert amid the fear of TikTok’ school shooting challenge. Schools across the country have sent alerts to parents on Friday. The FBI also said that it was investigating an apparent trend that is being widely circulated on the social media platform TikTok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
School districts said that the trend school shooting challenge is doing rounds on TikTok and have claimed that according to the viral trend there would be multiple school gun attacks and bombings around the country on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, TikTok said that there was no single video on their platform that promotes the trend, but instead, there are others that discussed it as a rumour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TikTok also said that they are investigating the trend but they could not find any video, there were just videos of people discussing the alleged threat on its platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The social media platform further said that the local authorities, the FBI, and DHS have confirmed there’s no credible threat, so we’re working to remove alarmist warnings that violate our misinformation policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Concluding the note, TikTok said that if they find any promotion of violence on their platform, they’d remove and report it to law enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
